Rules & Regulations for Performances

General

1. To take part in the festival, register yourself by paying accordingly.

2. Participants can take part in both group and solo category and must pay for both.

3. Group participants to submit all the group members names as in NRIC/FIN in a separate sheet.

4. Artists must take full responsibility over their valuables and props. Organisers are not liable to any loss of item or damages.

5. Only limited slots are available for each category.

6. All categories must come with proper dance costume and Jewellery. Category D - smart casual

7. Category A, B, C, must mention your Dance form.

8. Category D, you can display your art. Only one Art can display per participation. Maximum 2 artworks are permitted

9. All participants will receive a certificate of participation and token of appreciation.

10. All participants must bring along your NRIC as a proof of identification.

Category A & B

1. Classical Dancers are to perform maximum of 5 mins for 8yrs to 15yrs and 7mins for 16 yrs and above.

2. Participants of age group 8 – 15yrs need to perform any abhinaya item based on the theme which will be provided through email.

3. Participants of age group 16yrs and above need to perform nritta and Abhinaya items based on the theme which will be provided through email.

4. Fusion Classical or cinematic songs are not entertained.

5. Category B group participants must follow as per category A.

6. Each Group must have minimum of 4 participants and maximum of 12 participants.

7.Certificates and appreciation tokens will be issued to all group members.

Category C – Traditional Folk Arts

1. Only traditional folk arts can perform.

2. Cinematic, Modern dance, Bollywood dance or contemporary dance are not allowed to perform.

3. Group dance must have proper costume and Jewellery.

4. Folk arts dancers must bring your own props. Theme will be provided trough email.

Category D – Visual Art

1. Artists are entitled to bring a maximum of 2 artworks

2. Talent Showcase is targeted to growing artists or artist who needs more exposure.

3. If there are vacant slots, artist will be informed to be allowed to bring one extra artwork.

4. Artist are to mention the number of artworks they will be bringing to ensure that they have adequate spaces allocated for their display.

5. Sizes of artwork can range from the minimum to a maximum A2 size. Additionally, it is vital to also state the dimensions of their artwork upon submission of    form.

6. If artist is unsure of their artwork size please do contact organizer.

7. Artists are to use any medium and base (eg. canvas / Paper) to come up with their artwork based on the topic Saki (friends) that shows unity, friendship, love and care     via creativity.

8. The bases for their artworks are up to the Artists decision.

9. Any other mediums not listed in the section above is to be stated in the others option provided.

10. Any other Art works that the Artist would like to bring has to be also stated in the others option provided.

11. Strictly No sale of Artworks are allowed.

12. Only tables will be provided for display of artworks.

13. Artists names will be placed at their designated area.
